Project Ethiopia

Following the success of Run Across Ethiopia in 2011, OTG built three schools, separate latrines, and a library, which also

serves as a community meeting space. The goal of this program was to increase access to education. We quickly discovered that young women would drop out of school once they started menstruating because there was a lack of private latrines. By providing a safe space for young menstruating people, they are empowered to stay in school and complete their education. These facilities benefit hundreds of students each year. The schools are still in operation and continue to provide access to education to these communities.
